The overall goal of the course is to obtain academic writing skills that scientists and academics need in order to present their research internationally.  

The course is designed to help students organize and write the five standard sections of a research article: the Abstract, Introduction, Methods, Results, and Discussion.

There will be four short writing assignments and one in-class writing assignment, each corresponding to the different sections of a research paper.

This course will focus on writing research articles.  We will examine how to organize and write the different sections of a research article.  Writing assignments will model these sections, allowing us to develop real world writing skills.  Students will have numerous opportunities to draft, revise, and complete writing projects.
